According to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, combined revenue from gaming rose to $529 million in January 2025, a 10.88% increase over the previous year. Data was compiled from all forms of gaming, including 17 brick-and-mortar casinos, online casino games, retail and online sports betting, and video game terminals.
Online gaming enjoyed the highest increase, with revenue jumping 40.52% to $210.1 million. With numbers like that, it’s no wonder why some lawmakers in Illinois are pushing for iGaming legalization in their state.
Pennsylvania is still one of just seven states to allow iGaming, in which users can play their favorite casino games such as blackjack, poker and roulette online.
