National Student Esports (NSE) has announced that its partnership with technology company Intel will be continuing into the 2020/2021 academic year.
The extension will see Intel continue as headline sponsor of the British University Esports Championship organised by NSE.
The original deal was established in 2019 when Intel sponsored the second iteration of the British University Esports Championship. The event saw a total of 95 universities compete across Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, FIFA 19, Hearthstone, League of Legends, Overwatch, and Rocket League.
Scott Gillingham, Gaming and Esports Lead at Intel UK, spoke on the extension in a release: “Intel is proud to support NSE and the British University Esports Championship for another season.
