New Jersey players could soon bet on esports after laws allowing it to happen were registered in the Lower House.
The Senate will now be able to determine whether it wants to propose the vertical as a legal method of state gambling.
Although sports betting is controlled by different conventional New Jersey competitions, that is not currently the case with esports.
In fellow US state Nevada, betting on this vertical was already implemented.
Last week, the House overwhelmingly voted in favor of bringing the law on esports to the next level.
It seems that the vertical is particularly involved and that the legislation is supported or co-sponsored only by five separate Congressmen.
