MLB Network is stepping up its live video chat capabilities through a partnership with The Video Call Center (VCC). The multi-year support relationship integrates VCC’s cloud and video call system into MLB Network’s operating headquarters in Secaucus, NJ.
Shows like ‘MLB Tonight Live’ rely heavily on guest appearances via live video, with fans, experts and players calling in from different devices. The deal with VCC aims to improve the quality and reliability of those feeds.
“As one of the world’s great sports brands, MLB has an exceptionally active fan-base and engaged viewers who want to interact one-on-one with their heroes,” explained VCC’s CEO, Larry Thaler, in a statement.
