UK-based esports betting company Midnite has joined the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) in a bid to help combat corruption and cheating in esports.
The bookmaker has enlisted in the anti-corruption programme, which was created by ESIC to help maintain the integrity of esports events and gambling.
Created in 2016, the Esports Integrity Commission was created to guard integrity within esports – it has collaborated with many key players in the industry to deal with all forms of corruption and fraud in esports.
Ian Smith, Commissioner of the Esports Integrity Commission, discussed the partnership in a release: “In reaching our goal which is to make esports as fair as possible, bookmakers play a crucial role since their internal data analysis makes it easier to recognize the signs of a rigged match.
