Mio Global will license its proprietary Personal Activity Intelligence (PAI) technology to Lenovo, thanks to a recent partnership. PAI uses heart rate to provide an all-encompassing score that helps people manage their health and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. The metric will be featured in Lenovo’s new HW01 Plus fitness bands and will eventually extend to other devices.
The attractiveness of PAI comes from its simplicity. Based on your heart rate and personal data, you will receive a score. The goal is for that score to be in the 100+ range. A HUNT Fitness Study showed that those who keep a PAI of 100+ live an average of five years longer than those who are inactive.
