Riot Games has announced Esport1.hu as the Hungarian broadcast partner for the League of Legends European Championship (LEC).
The deal comes after the decision to cancel hosting the finals of the Spring Split in Hungary’s capital, Budapest, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Beginning from the playoff stage of the Spring Split, the Hungarian platform will offer a “tailored broadcast” alongside LEC’s typical streams. Esport1.hu will broadcast the remainder of the 2020 season and produce a dedicated show in collaboration with the league.
After a brief suspension due to the pandemic, it was unveiled that the remainder of the season would be played online, with the Spring Split playoffs starting on April 3rd and concluding on April 19th.
