Intex Technologies, an Indian mobile handset and consumer electronics company that owns the Gujarat Lions of the Indian Premier League, has announced its entry into funding startups. The first startup to receive funding from Intex is Rooter, a social gaming platform that connects, engages and helps soccer, cricket, tennis and basketball audiences interact with one another on a real-time basis during an event, featuring live-match predictions, quizzes and chat forums.
“Rooter is a great concept, which is gaining exponential numbers suggesting that its popularity is zooming by the day, making a wonderful business idea,” Keshav Bansal, Director of Intex Technologies and Gujarat Lions owner, said in a statement.
