Intel’s comprehensive virtual reality coverage of the upcoming 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang will now be available throughout much of the old continent via Eurosport’s coverage of the Games.
The Intel True VR platform will broadcast 30 events, of which 18 will air live in what will be the first live VR coverage of the Winter Olympics. Those events are accessible domestically through the NBC Sports VR app and now will similarly be shown live and on-demand on the Discovery-owned Eurosport channel.
“Discovery has set out to transform the Olympic Winter Games viewing experience, so being able to offer viewers across Europe every minute of the Games and now every angle of some of the biggest events in live VR goes a long way to delivering this promise,” Ralph Rivera, EurosportDigital’s managing director, said in a statement.
