Intel is installing its True View volumetric video system in two more NFL stadiums this season, including Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, the host site for Super Bowl LIII.
True View provides immersive replays in which broadcasters can review plays from multiple perspectives, far more angles than would be possible from standard cameras. The 360-degree technology is now in place at 13 stadiums, with Tennessee’s Nissan Stadium in Nashville the other new site. The Atlanta installation will start being used in October.
“With the expansion of Intel True View into more stadiums, we have the opportunity to let fans experience game-changing plays on sports’ biggest stage,” said VP and GM of Intel Sports James Carwana in a news release.
