Eurosport has partnered with CA Technologies to launch a new second screen app experience for professional cycling fans. As part of the deal, CA Technologies also becomes the official software partner for Eurosport’s cycling coverage.
The deal means Eurosport, which is owned by Discovery Communications, is offering a live interactive map containing rider data throughout this year’s Grand Tour races, which will be integrated into the company’s existing app and mobile web products. The Grand Tour races refer to the the three biggest races in cycling, the Giro D’Italia, Tour de France and also the Vuelta a España, which kicks off in August.
