Israel-based startup Edge Gaming has raised $2 million (£∼1.44m) in its round of pre-seed funding.
The funds raised will be used to create and develop a dedicated training academy platform for esports teams and players.
According to a release, the platform will act as a hub for fans to participate in a range of experiences including a ‘path to pro’ program that will enable them to hone their in-game skills. For organisations, the platform is said to allow them to create a ‘scalable revenue channel’ and ‘other gaming monetisation channels’ currently in development.
