The Vendée Globe is a true race around the world, a solo sailing expedition that takes place every four years and covers more than 24,000 miles. Boats race from the Vendée region of western France down south around Africa’s Cape of Good Hope, Australia’s Cape Leeuwin, and South America’s Cape Horn.
