Cincinnati Reds great Johnny Bench and the Hall of Famer’s new tech company moblWorks have released a new mobile app for schools nationwide that is designed to help in the fight against bullying.
The Smithfield School App, is sponsored by Smithfield Foods, which is donating the app to the first 5,000 schools. Other schools will pay a monthly hosting fee so that all users, particularly students, faculty, and parents, can use the technology to protect students from bullying in schools and on the internet.
“We want each student to face each school day with the most confident version of you,” read a statement from moblWorks, which Bench owns with his son and a family friend.
