Adidas recently launched a new line of performance tech sportswear called Alphaskin, designed through a motion-capture system to identify areas where fabric might impede an athlete’s movements.
The global sportswear giant has used the Aramis mo-cap system to craft some of its footwear in the past, including the Boost series, but this time Adidas applied the innovative 3-D cameras — which can detect material properties such as the strain and pressure being exerted — on its base layer clothing.
“When I wear Alphaskin it’s time for business,” Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott said in a press release.
