If you’ve ever been to a golf course, you know that it is difficult to follow around players and know how well they are doing compared to those at the next hole. Pro-ams competing in the Symetra Tour — the official qualifying tour for the LPGA — won’t have to worry about that anymore. The tour has partnered up with 18Birdies, a mobile golf technology startup that will provide users with live pro-am score updates.
“You always hear pro-am participants say ‘I wonder how we are doing so far’ so I think the 18Birdies Tournament+ Scoring solution adds a new competition dimension for those that really want to win,” Mike Nichols, Chief Business Officer of the Symetra Tour said in a statement.
