Sporting KC Day at the Zoo will kick off Saturday, June 11 at 9 a.m. CT with The Rare Experience Walk benefiting rare disease patients and The Victory Project.
Heritage Biologics will lead the walk efforts with help from the Immune Deficiency Foundation, RareKC Project and Oklahoma Hemophilia Foundation. The Rare Experience Walk is the first of its kind in Kansas City and while it is free for all participants, donations are encouraged to bring awareness and raise money for rare disease patients and research.
The walk begins at the Swope Park Bandstand finishing by the entrance to the Kansas City Zoo.
