San Zusi. It’s a nickname that will live in infamy.
We all remember where we were when Graham Zusi soared through the air and headed a cross past goalkeeper Jaime Penedo, while subsequently altering the World Cup fate of two nations.
But who delivered the pinpoint cross to Zusi in the second minute of stoppage time? None other than Brad Davis, the former Houston Dynamo captain who Sporting Kansas City acquired via trade on Thursday.
Ray Hudson referred to the cross as “an absolute peach.” Truer words were never spoken of a man who has made a career of dropping crosses on a dime to his attacking teammates.
