Swope Park came out and dominated most of the game against the Timbers. They had 15 shots and kept Portland to just five. SPR came out victorious in the game, winning 2-1 thanks to a stoppage time winner from Daniel Salloi. That’s right Salloi got on the score sheet in his first game.
This is what this team was designed for, so players like Salloi, who need experience but who can’t get time with SKC can come down and play meaningful minutes in meaningful games. There were several other story lines from this game other than just Salloi.
