Swope Park Rangers played one of their best games of the season on Wednesday night, but still managed to leave Children’s Mercy Park with just a point after a 2-2 draw against Memphis 901 FC.
Paulo Nagamura, coming off a draw from Sunday, mixed up the lineup. Just four starters remained in the XI. Sporting KC loaned goalkeeper Eric Dick and forward Tyler Freeman, who both started.
Memphis opened the scoring after a long ball wasn’t dealt with well by Kaveh Rad, resulting in Memphis making a mess of a good chance inside of the 18, but SPR gave up a corner after making a mess of their own after failing to clear the ball, resulting in a desperation clearance from Eric Dick to knock it out for a corner.
