The Swope Park Rangers have added versatile defender Mark Segbers to the squad ahead of the 2019 season, the club announced today. The signing is pending league and federation approval.
Segbers, 22, was selected in the First Round of the 2018 MLS SuperDraft (Ninth Overall) by the New England Revolution and signed with the club last February. Segbers made his MLS debut on Oct. 18, 2018, coming on at halftime of a 4-1 road defeat against Real Salt Lake. He also tallied his lone goal for the Revolution in a 3-2 loss on the road to Louisville City in the Fourth Round of the Lamar Hunt U.
