Sporting Kansas City appears to be signing Scottish attacker Johnny Russell from Derby County FC in England. The Sun reported the transfer fee is £250,000 or approximately $350,000.
Russell has been with the Rams since 2013 and has scored 34 times in 203 appearances with his best season in 2015/16 when he scored 9 goals with 10 assists plus a goal in the Championship Playoffs. He is 27 years old and seemed to be out of favor at Derby but has recently regained form and been back in their lineup with a goal in his last five starts.
