Sporting Kansas City signed 19-year-old Daniel Salloi as their fourth Homegrown Player in club history. Salloi played for Sporting KC's academy where he scored 21 goals in 28 matches and an incredible 15 goals in the second half of the season for the U-18's.
The Hungarian forward was from Budapest but moved to the Kansas City area as an exchange student where he was invited to play for Sporting KC's academy under coach Istvan Urbanyi, a fellow Hungarian.
"Our goal as an organization is to continue to develop players in our Academy that can contribute to our senior team," Sporting KC Manager Peter Vermes said via press release.
