Midfielder Jordi Quintilla has been released by Sporting Kansas City.
In a stunning move, Sporting Kansas City has released Spanish midfielder Jordi Quintilla. Quintilla just joined Sporting last summer during that transfer window. He had lots of fans excited as a potential attacking midfielder of the future.
In 2016 he started the first four games of the year and started six overall. He only had a single assist this season, but the potential felt untapped. It's certainly disappointing to see Quintilla leave so early into his tenure with the team. He was also loaned to the Swope Park Rangers but only made one appearance.
