Sporting KC defender Jaylin Lindsey undergoes successful surgery on left knee

Sporting Kansas City defender Jaylin Lindsey underwent successful surgery last week to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee and will be sidelined for four to five months.

Lindsey’s surgery was performed under the care of Sporting KC’s chief medical officer Dr. Scott Luallin at Truman Medical Center – Lakewood Hospital in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

A product of the Sporting Kansas City Academy, Lindsey enjoyed a breakout 2018 campaign with Sporting’s first team. The 19-year-old right back started nine of 10 first-team matches in all competitions, becoming the club’s youngest player to log 10 appearances in a season.
