Sporting Kansas City closed the first leg of preseason with a 0-0 draw against South Korean side Seongnam FC. The club will fly home to Kansas City on Monday before returning to Tucson next Sunday for the 2016 Desert Diamond Cup.
Sporting KC played two 45-minute halves against Seongnam on Sunday with a different set of 11 players in each half. Manager Peter Vermes used 19 first team players in the scrimmage, with Swope Park Rangers defenders Tommy Meyer and Jacob Vancompernolle and 2016 SuperDraft pick Faik Hajderovic playing the first 45 minutes.
Neither team was able to muster much offense in the first half.
