A longtime foe in Sporting Kansas City’s rivalry with Houston is flipping sides.
Sporting KC acquired midfielder Brad Davis from the Dynamo on Thursday in exchange for two future MLS SuperDraft picks, The Star has learned.
Davis, 34, is a six-time MLS All-Star and a World Cup veteran, and his 122 career assists rank third in MLS history. He has spent the past 10 seasons with Houston, winning two MLS Cups.
Davis, an outside midfielder, is the Dynamo’s career leader in games, starts and assists and led the club to seven playoff appearances — many of which included contested battles with Sporting KC.
