Sporting Kansas City Academy forward Tyler Freeman has joined the U.S. U-14 Boys’ National Team for its first training camp of the year, which runs through Saturday at U.S. Soccer’s National Training Center in Carson, California.
Freeman joins a U.S. roster of 36 players — 33 of whom play for U.S. Soccer Development Academy clubs. Led by head coach Clint Peay, the United States will face Club Tijuana’s U-15 and U-14 squads in two friendly matches on Friday.
A native of Shawnee, Kansas, Freeman first linked up with the U-14 BNT for a weeklong training camp in November alongside goalkeeper Tommy Williams, his Sporting KC teammate.
