There has been much speculation around Swope Park Rangers and where they will be playing next season do to new regulations from USL involving capacity. The USL recently announced that there will be a new rule that teams in Division 2 must have a capacity of at least 5,000. With SPR playing at Children’s Mercy Victory Field, and the field’s capacity being just over 3,500, there was going to need to be some expansion in order to keep the team there.
With this report by Paul Kennedy it seems that expansion at Swope Park does not seem likely at that a move for SPR at this point.
