Recap: Swope Park Rangers earns 2-1 victory over Tulsa Roughnecks FC

The roster. The kits. The coach. The wins! Talk about a perfect start to the season! The Swope Park Rangers won their first of three road matches in a 2-1 victory over the Tulsa Roughnecks FC in ONEOK Field, Saturday night. Dane Kelly and Nansel Selbol delievered the winning goals.

Jimmy Medranda, whom was loaned to the Rangers early this season, returned to Sporting KC’s roster for their match against Real Salt Lake. Medranda played 18 minutes as a substitute. Jon Kempin and Daniel Salloi traveled to Tusla with the Rangers. Kempin continued to show an impressive performance as he made a big save from former Sporting KC Academy teammate Ray Lee, helping the Rangers maintain their lead going into halftime 1-0.
