Sporting Kansas City forward Daniel Salloi was an unused substitute on Saturday as Hungary fell 1-0 to Finland in their 2081-19 UEFA Nations League opener at Tampere Stadium in Tampere, Finland.
Teemu Pukki fired Finland ahead in the seventh minute, giving the hosts all they needed to claim victory at the expense of a Hungary side that held 66 percent of possession and a 16-9 advantage in shot attempts.
Salloi remains in contention for his first Hungary cap at the senior level when the Magyars welcome Greece for their second UEFA Nations League clash on Tuesday at Groupama Arena in Budapest.
