Sunday, May 15, 2016 at 2:30 PM CST (ESPN), Sporting KansasCity look to finally stop the skid by returning to Children’s Mercy Park to face Orlando City SC. Orlando and Sporting KC have history, though much of it is off of the field.
Orlando City was SKC’s first affiliate in the United Soccer League (USL) before Orlando moved towards MLS Expansion. During that time players like Dom Dwyer, Jon Kempin and Kevin Ellis spent time in Orlando honing their craft. Especially Dwyer, who help Orlando win a USL title and at the time had the USL scoring record.
