The Swope Park Rangers (5-2-4, 6th place) and Saint Louis FC (3-4-5, 9th place) will renew the USL rivalry when the clubs meet for a second time this season at 7:30 p.m. CT on Saturday at Toyota Stadium in Fenton, Mo.
Last month, the teams – separated by 250 miles on I-70 – played to a 1-1 draw at Children’s Mercy Park. Hadji Barry opened the scoring in the fourth minute and the Rangers led for 85 minutes until Kyle Greig grabbed a late equalizer in the first of three meetings between SPR and STLFC this year.
The result was the fourth straight draw in the series, which remains deadlocked with a single win apiece, and marked the beginning of a six-game winless run for Saint Louis FC in league play that continued on Wednesday with a 3-1 loss to Phoenix Rising FC.
