The Swope Park Rangers claimed a 4-1 victory over Rockhurst University at Swope Soccer Village on Saturday afternoon. First-half goals from Tyler Pasher, Amer Didic and Kris Tyrpak put the Rangers in a commanding position before Mark Anthony Gonzalez sealed the win in the second half.
The Rangers began the game quickly and almost went ahead in the second minute when Pasher was slipped into the area and saw his shot saved before Tyrpak’s rebound struck the outside of the post.
Pasher wasn’t to be denied, however, and put the Rangers ahead three minutes later. Tyrpak whipped in a cross from the right that Pasher controlled with his back to goal, turned his man and slammed the ball into the roof of the net to make the score 1-0.
