The 2017 MLS season has finished its second week, and while Sporting Kansas City is still searching for their first goal of the new season, one former Sporting player scored his first goal for his new team this past week. Jacob Peterson came on for his debut for Atlanta United in the final six minutes of a blowout win over Minnesota United. In the fourth minute of stoppage time, Peterson found himself open in the box and headed home a cross from Greg Garza for Atlanta’s sixth goal of the day to put a cherry on top of what was a dominating performance.
