Monday was the deadline for MLS teams eliminated from the MLS Cup playoffs to submit to the league their list of players whose options they were picking up and declining. As teams announced the list of players, there were a large number of former Kansas City players who were having their options declined. Joining new former Sporting players, Cameron Iwasa, Soni Mustivar, Kevin Oliveira, and Tyler Pasher in having their options declined: Bernardo Anor (Minnesota), Servando Carrasco (Orlando), Michael Harrington (Chicago), Jon Kempin (LA), Eric Kronberg (Montreal), Mikey Lopez (NYCFC), Amobi Okugo (Portland), and Sal Zizzo (New York).
