The Emporia State University football team has only one loss in 2016. That loss came in the first game of the year at home to Northwest Missouri State. The Bearcats will seek revenge when it matters most when they take on Northwest Missouri on Saturday in the second round of the NCAA Division II Football Championship.
The Bearcats enter the match with a 26-game winning streak, the longest active in college football. Northwest Missouri and Emporia State are the only Kansas/Missouri teams left in the Division II Football Championship after Central Missouri and Southwest Baptist lost in the first round to Harding and Colorado School of Mines, respectively.
