Mo Johnston, a prolific forward for the Kansas City Wizards from 1996-2001, will be the newest member of the Sporting Legends, Sporting Kansas City announced on Wednesday.
Johnston scored 32 goals and 31 assists in 170 appearances, making three all-star appearances from 1996-1998.
“Being inducted as a Sporting Legend is a great honor and an absolute privilege, especially as a player coming from another country,” Johnston said in a press release. “This would not have happened without the coaches and teammates in Kansas City who helped me get here. My longest stay at any club was with the Wizards, and I loved my six years in MLS.
