Matt Taylor, Sporting Kansas City’s (then the Kansas City Wizards) first round pick in the 2004 MLS Superdraft called time on his career after playing professionally for almost 13 years. Taylor spent the last 10 years of his career in the German lower divisions, but he didn’t leave KC fans with a great final impression in his time here. Most fans from that time will remember Taylor’s final game for KC, coming on as a substitute and having at least one good open look at KC chased an equalizer up a man against DC United in MLS Cup 2004.
