Another former MLS player looks like they could be on their way back to MLS, earlier this week, Julie Stewart-Binks reported that former Sporting KC player (technically) Luis Gil was making a return to MLS. The report was that Gil would be joining up with former coach, Jason Kreis at Orlando City. Gil had played six seasons with Real Salt Lake before departing for Mexico when his contract expired. Gil though has found playing time in Mexico hard to come by and the former US youth captain looks like he could return to MLS. If he does return to Orlando, the Lions will have to compensate RSL, who still hold Gil’s MLS rights after making him a qualifying offer before he departed for Mexico.
