With six points from two games against Western Conference rivals, Sporting Kansas City are turning toward their first Eastern Conference fixture of the year: their once-a-year run-in with Toronto FC. While Toronto, like Seattle and Vancouver, is likely to come out against Sporting KC in a lone striker formation, the parallels mostly end there. Whereas the two Cascadia teams concentrated their firepower in the wings in the duos of Clint Dempsey/Jordan Morris and Kekuta Manneh/Cristian Techera, Toronto FC will be led out up top by the most dangerous attacker in MLS for the past season-plus, Sebastian Giovinco, who is a completely different player than either Nelson Valdez or Octavio Rivero, the two strikers who lead the line for Seattle and Vancouver, respectively.
