The 2017 season has kicked off for MLS, but just before the season kicked off, another former Sporting Kansas City player signed with a new club. Jon Kempin, Sporting KC’s first ever Homegrown player signed with the Los Angeles Galaxy. Kempin will meet up with former Kansas City coach, Curt Onalfo, who is the Galaxy’s head coach now. Kempin will battle for time with starter Brian Rowe and Clement Diop, who was signed from the club’s USL team, LA Galaxy 2.
Another former player also signed with a new team this week, a Christian Volesky, who was a Sporting player for only a couple months signed with Saint Louis FC where he joins up with Sporting Legend Preki.
