The KC Cauldron showed its philanthropic side side at Sunday's tailgate, hosting a pie throwing contest benefitting Heartland Habitat for Humanity. Organizers set up a table aside the group's legendary blue bus during pre-match festivities and sold plates of shaving cream for $2 each or $5 for three. It didn't take supporters much time to up to throw the "pies" at their rain poncho-clad peers.
"We thought the pie toss would be a fun way to raise money for Heartland Habitat for Humanity," event organizer Brandy Peed said. "It's been pretty successful! We're really excited, and it's a lot of fun.
