In the Zoom Mixed Zone tonight, KC NWSL co-owner Angie Long said that they came prepared for the draft, and they weren’t kidding as they selected their 15th, 16th, & 17th picks in the second round without wasting much time.
With back-to-back-to back picks, Kansas City NWSL selected Victoria Pickett from Wisconsin (no relation to 4th pick Kiki Pickett, by the way) with the 15th pick. Originally from Ontario, Canada, Pickett has represented her country at the CONCACAF U-17 Championship and the FIFA U-17 and U-20 World Cup. She was also First Team All-Big Ten in 2017 and 2018, scoring five goals and 11 assists in 57 matches for the Wisconsin Badgers.
