The Kansas City Comets made their only trip to the West Coast this year, facing off against the San Diego Sockers on Sunday night. The Comets fell to the undefeated Sockers 7-3 on the night. After a scoreless first quarter, the Sockers struck twice in the second quarter to take a 2-0 half time lead. The second half couldn’t have started any worse for the Comets as in less than a minute and a half into the third quarter, the Sockers doubled their lead and were up 4-0. Christian Anderaos scored his first goal of the season to make it 4-1, but before the end of the quarter the Sockers had restored their four goal advantage.
