With Sporting Kansas City on international break, the only two teams in action were the Swope Park Rangers and FC Kansas City with home games on back-to-back nights. Both teams were successful on the Labor Day weekend with the Rangers getting a 2-0 win over the Oklahoma City Energy thanks to a Lebo Moloto brace while FC Kansas City got a 4-1 win over Sky Blue FC thanks to a pair of goals and an assist by Shea Groom. The biggest moment between the two teams though was Nicole Barnhart becoming the first player in FCKC history to play in and start 100 league games for the club.
