Sporting Kansas City Academy defender Jaylin Lindsey and the U.S. U-17 Men’s National Team are on the cusp of qualification for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup and one step closer to a continental title.
The United States closed out group stage action at the CONCACAF U-17 Championship with a 1-0 win over El Salvador on Saturday, posting a perfect 3-0-0 record that included a monumental 4-3 victory over archrivals Mexico on Wednesday.
With the U.S. already assured of winning Group C heading into Saturday, Lindsey was one of eight players rested against El Salvador who started in the Mexico triumph.
