Sporting Kansas City president Jake Reid has been named Chief Executive Officer of the club, succeeding Robb Heineman, according to the Kansas City Business Journal.
Reid, who has been with the club since 2010 and president since January 2016, told the Kansas City Business Journal that this move was one the ownership group had been working on for awhile, and that he will be taking a more visible role with the club.
Heineman was known for having a visible Twitter presence, cryptically hinting at signings and responding to fans’ questions and complaints.
