Three Sporting Kansas City players appeared in UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers on Saturday as Botond Barath, Nicolas Hasler and Krisztian Nemeth all earned caps for their respective national teams.
Barath and Nemeth helped Hungary to a 3-1 road win over Azerbaijan at Bakcell Arena in Baku, Azerbaijan, to move the Magyars atop Group E after their third of eight match days in the qualification cycle. Barath played the full 90 minutes in central defense and picked up an assist in the 53rd minute during his fifth career cap, while Nemeth came off the bench in the 86th minute for his 36th international appearance.
