FC Kansas City's Reign Falls Flat

FC Kansas City is missing their attacking spark. The loss of Lauren Holiday, Amy Rodriguez, and the temporary absence of Shea Groom was evident in Sunday's loss to the Seattle Reign.

FC Kansas City had few chances throughout the match. In the 27th minute, Caroline Kastor and Erika Tymrak teamed up to try and confuse Hope Solo for a goal. They were nearly successful, but a easy reach by Solo kept the score level at zero. In the second half, the Blues were given a free kick right on the left corner of the box after substitute Alexa Newfield was taken down by Manon Melis.
